English 6
Introductory survey of literature. Focus on grammar, mechanics, vocabulary, and spelling. Basic composition using a structural approach.


Geography & World History
A chronological survey of selected major events in world history with an emphasis on political, social, and economic developments. Geography is studied in context.


Math Course 1
Mastery of basic number facts and operations with whole numbers, decimals, percents, and fractions. Linear measure, two-dimensional geometric figures, and rational numbers are also covered


Math Course 2
Students who demonstrate mastery of Math Course 1 concepts will be placed in Math Course II


Earth Science
Study of the major processes that shape and influence the Earth with emphasis on change over time. Further developments of the scientific method and laboratory techniques.
