English 8
Continued survey of literary genre. Continued focus on grammar, mechanics, vocabulary, and spelling. Intermediate composition using a structural approach. Book reports based on independent reading.


American History II
Survey of American history from the Industrial Revolution to the present day. Also included will be the 8th grade project.


Pre-Algebra
Further develops understanding of the concepts and skills necessary for success in algebra including proportions, rations, percentages, area, volume, probability, and basic statistical measures.


Algebra I
Basic algorithms, mathematical properties and relationships. Representation, in graph form, of mathematical concepts.


Physical Science
Integrated study of the fundamental concepts of physics and chemistry. Further development of the scientific method and laboratory techniques.


Spanish I/Latin I
All eigth grade students take an introductory semester of both Latin and Spanish.


Physical Education 8
Students will participate in flag football, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, bowling, tennis, weekly fitness, badminton, & softball.

 

Religion 8
Study of the seven sacraments of the Catholic faith with a special emphasis on the Sacrament of Confirmation.


MS Humanities
Seminar class for non-Catholics that will discuss a myriad of issues.
