Our goal at Northridge is to provide our students with a comprehensive college preparatory education focused on the demanding standards of colleges and university worldwide. As described by our former head of high school, Joseph Lechner, whose tenacious work, invaluable dedication, and unmatched values have greatly contributed to making Northridge a successful school, we have a formidable liberal arts curriculum which features four years of English, Religion, Math, Science, History, and Foreign Language. To complement these core courses, we offer selections in Journalism, Art, Band, Speech/Debate, Computers, and Competitive Sports/Weight Training. Many of our upper high school classes qualify for the Advanced Placement Exam, and a good number of our graduating seniors go off to college already with some college credit.
In addition to our college preparatory program, Northridge offers a variety of extra-curricular experiences at the high school level including competitive sports, chess, math club, drama club, and band. Many of our graduates have found their future vocations while participating in an extracurricular activity.
As Head of High School, I am committed to maintaining the high standards of Northridge and searching for innovative ways to enrich our educational endeavor. I have been an educator for twenty years both in the United States and abroad and have been involved in the administration of other private schools with the same philosophy we live at Northridge. Academics, discipline, and spiritual formation are pillars in my concept of education. All in all, my aim is to help educate our students while endowing them with all the elements necessary to become successful and well-formed adult members of society.
I encourage all students and families at Northridge High School to allow me the opportunity to meet you and join our forces to achieve our ultimate objective.
Sincerely,

Hugo Chong
