As you compare your educational options for the coming school year, please consider that Interscholastic Athletics are a vitally important extension of the Northridge curriculum and play a significant role in shaping the character of our young men.
Northridge high school is a member of the Illinois High School Association and sponsors seven interscholastic sports – in the fall our students compete in Cross-Country, Golf and Soccer; Basketball is offered in the winter; and, in the spring, the Knights participate in Baseball, Tennis, and Track and Field. Northridge is also a member of the strong and well respected Independent School League.
At the middle school level, Northridge is a member of the City-Suburban Catholic Conference and offers participation opportunities in Cross Country, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball and Track and Field. Moreover, the middle school teams take part in a scheduling agreement with similar grade levels in the Independent School League.
In recent years, the Northridge name has become synonymous with competitive excellence in the state of Illinois. The Knights have garnered championships at the conference, Regional and Sectional levels in a variety of sports. In addition, Northridge student-athletes have been named to All-Conference, All-State and All-American teams in their respective sports. What's more, Northridge coaches have received a variety of Coach-of-the-Year honors.
All things considered, the Northridge experience allows athletically gifted young men to fulfill their potential in their sport while still enjoying the benefits of a small school environment that focuses on character formation. Above all else, Northridge coaches see themselves as educators and mentors. Success in the competitive arena serves primarily as a vehicle for Northridge coaches to help build men of integrity and virtue.
